Abby Scheel earned a B.A. in Classics with a minor in Archaeology from Smith College as well as an M.A. in Classical Archaeology and Masters in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University.
Before becoming a humanities librarian, Abby worked on different archaeological projects in Italy and Greece, taught undergraduate courses, and worked as a cataloger for FSU. She is currently the liaison for the Classics, English, Philosophy and Religion departments.
Abby's research interests focus on the information behaviors of humanities researchers and the effect of new technologies on these behaviors. She is a member of the American Library Association (ALA), Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) and the Florida Library Association (FLA).
