Ruth Ziegler is the liaison for the College of Human Sciences responsible for ordering materials for the library collection for those disciplines. Within the University Libraries, Ruth works within the Division of Special Collections and Archives where she is Unit Head of Authorities/Catalog Management.
Ruth received her B.S. in Fine Arts at Lincoln University and her M.L.S. at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Prior to her tenure at Florida State University, Ruth held positions as Reference Librarian at Southeast Missouri State University, Collection Management Librarian for Serials at Middle Tennessee State University, and Cataloger at Florida A&M University.
She is a member of the American Library Association, Association for Library Collections and Technical Services, the Movable Book Society, the Florida Library Association, and the Society of Florida Archivists. Her professional interests include the future of authority control and library technical services. In her spare time, she also conducts oral history interviews for the Reichelt Oral History Program at Florida State University.
