Please print and fill out a copy of the Gift Information Form PDF file and enclose it with your donation. Preprinted forms are also available at dropoff points throughout the Libraries: the Administrative Office, Circulation Desk, or Reference Information Desk in Strozier Library; the Dirac Science Center Library; the Warren D. Allen Music Library; or the Goldstein Library. Gifts are added to the collection in accordance with the collection development policy and its guidelines.

Conditions of donation

All donation offers receive serious consideration. Materials are accepted in the name of the FSU Foundation. We do reserve the right to use the materials as they can best be utilized: they may be added to the collections, offered to other libraries, or sold in the Friends of the Library book sales, with the proceeds benefiting the libraries. Gifts are added to the collection in accordance with the collection development policy and its guidelines.

Tax benefits

All gifts to the the libraries are considered charitable donations. Upon receipt of a Gift Information Form PDF file, a letter of acknowledgment will be sent to the address that you provide.

Appraisals

As an interested party, the University Libraries are prohibited by law from appraising gifts. (Tax Reform Act of 1984, Public Law 98-369, effective January 1, 1985).

Pick-up, delivery

The Libraries do not normally pick up materials being donated; however, arrangements can be made if necessary. Dropoff points for donated materials are located throughout the Libraries:
