Reduced Library Hours
Beginning January 5, 2009, Strozier Library’s hours will be shortened.
Instead of operating 24 hours a day from Sunday morning through Friday evening, the Libraries will close at 2 AM (Sunday through Thursday) and re-open at 7:30 AM.
See the complete schedule of library hours.
Weekend hours at both Strozier and Dirac Libraries will also be cut back.
The Libraries, like the rest of FSU, have incurred significant budget losses that have forced reductions in services. Faced with a 10% cut for the coming year, we can no longer support the very successful 24/5 overnight hours we began in January 2008.
However, Strozier Library will be open 24/5 during the two weeks of midterms and the last two weeks of the semester.
We regret the inconvenience to our students, but we look forward to resuming extended hours when the budgetary situation of the state and the university improves.
