Biography Index Past and Present
Description: Cites more than 2,700 periodicals and 1,800 books, including individual and collective biographies, as well as juvenile literature from 1984-Periodicals indexed are selected from all subject areas represented by other Wilson Company databases. Biographical subjects indexed range from antiquity to the present and represent all fields and nationalities.


Biography Reference Bank
Description: Biography Reference Bank contains biographical information on approximately half a million people, from antiquity to the present, along with thousands of images. It contains the full text of the articles from more than 100 volumes of biographical reference books published by H. W. Wilson, including all the articles from all volumes of Current Biography, the World Author Series, Nobel Prize Winners, World Artists, World Film Directors, American Reformers, and numerous biographical books on musicians and composers throughout history. Also included are thousands of biographies from other respected publishers, including Macmillan UK, Greenwood, Houghton Mifflin, and Harvard University Press. In addition to the full text biographies, Biography Reference Bank contains millions of magazine citations (many of which contain full-text) from all of the Wilson Indexing Databases, including all citations from the Biography Index database after 1984, as well as thousands of links to book review citations, including review excerpts and full text reviews from Book Review Digest Plus. The biographies are searchable by name, profession, title, place of origin, gender, race/ethnicity, titles of works, date of birth, date of death, keyword, and presence of images.


Biological & Agricultural Index Plus
Description: Provides information from groundwater pollution to genetic engineering and covers the entire range of sciences related to biology and agriculture from 1985-The database includes abstracts and full text coverage for selected journals. Periodical coverage includes a wide range of scientific journals, from popular to professional, that pertain to biology and agriculture. About 45 percent of the focus is on agriculture.

Description: This interdisciplinary database offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biology, biomedicine, biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and veterinary science1982 to present.


BioOne Abstracts and Indexes
Description: This BioOne bibliographic database is an indexed and fully-searchable collection of abstracts that link to the fulltext articles available from the BioOne organization. BioOne provides a unique aggregation of over 82 high-impact bioscience research journals from more than 66 publishers. Additional publishers and journals will be added over time. These titles are produced by societies and non-commercial publishers and a majority were previously available only in printed form. BioOne was developed by the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS), SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition), the University of Kansas, the Greater Western Library Alliance, and Allen Press. The organization is committed to a non-profit objective of disseminating important, scholarly information focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences by recovering costs while ensuring sustainability. Description: BizMiner provides detailed industry analysis and financial reports on more than 16,000 lines of business in national and local markets down to the zip code level. Bizminer can be used for business valuation, business plans, due diligence and competitive benchmarking research.


Black Drama
Description: Black Drama contains approximately 1,462 plays by 233 playwrights, together with detailed, fielded information on related productions, theaters, production companies, and more. The database also includes selected playbills, production photographs and other ephemera related to the plays.


BNF: National Library of France
Description: The French National Bibliography describes books and serials published, or distributed in France and received by the Bibliotheque Nationale de France through legal deposit. It contains a list of records sorted by a thematic and alphabetical classification author/title: a list of books and official publications, a list of serials. Books -- About 50,000 new titles or new editions are added annually. Serials -- Around 5,000 new titles a year: newspapers, journals, yearbooks and monographic series are added annually.


Book Review Digest Plus
Description: A library classic for nearly 100 years, Book Review Digest Plus now has select full text dramatically expanding its scope with entries drawn from over 8,000 periodicals covered by other Wilson databases. With coverage back to 1983, Book Review Digest Plus indexes reviews of current fiction and non-fiction, and provides review excerpts and over 100,000 full text reviews. Every book in Book Review Digest Plus appears with all of its reviews together. A single book can have as little as one review citation and as much as a descriptive summary and many reviews with excerpts and full text, depending upon the coverage the book received in the reviewing literature. The database includes childrens books as well as books for adults and young adults.

Brill's New Jacoby
Description: Brill's New Jacoby (BNJ) is a new edition of the 856 fragmentary historians that comprise F. Jacoby's monumental Die Fragmente der griechischen Historiker Parts I-III, but with significant additions. Each author has a Greek text (updated from that of Jacoby where relevant); facing English translation; new, critical commentary (for the first time for authors 608-856, on which Jacoby did not write commentaries); a brief encyclopaedia-style entry about his life, works, importance, etc.; and a select bibliography. BNJ will also include several new authors and many fragments of existing authors that were either unknown to Jacoby or excluded by him. (Depending on the topic they deal with, new authors will be given the same number as the preceding one followed by an A or B in order to distinguish them.) Jacoby's numbering system has been retained so that readers may also consult FGrH without having to refer to a concordance.
