Description: Coverage includes over 700 U.S. industries in over 1100 industry-specific reports. The US Specialized Industry Reports series covers niche industries such as pawn shops, boat insurance companies, air gun manufacturers and circus operators.



IEEE Xplore
Description: Provides full-text access to IEEE transactions, journals, magazines and conference proceedings published since 1988 and all current IEEE standards. Also called IEEE/IEE Electronic Library.


IMF eLibrary Data (International Financial Statistics)
Description: International Financial Statistics is a product of the International Monetary Fund. It includes all aspects of international and domestic finance, with history to 1948.


Immunology Abstracts
Description: Topics include all aspects of immune systems in man and animals, in normal functions and disorders from 1982-


In the First Person: Index to Letters, Diaries, Oral Histories, and Other Personal Narratives
Description: The first release of In the First Person indexes more than 2,500 collections of oral history from around the world. With upcoming releases, the index will broaden to cover other formats (letters, diaries, autobiographies, and so forth) and the proprietary content in the Alexander Street collections. By the end of 2005, the index will point to 350,000 pages of full text and 3,500 collections-more than a million pages of editorially selected materials spanning 400 years.

Description: The Independent Florida Alligator: University of Florida student newspaper.


Index Islamicus
Description: The Index Islamicus database indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. It is produced by an editorial team working at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, established to transmit knowledge about Islamic and Middle East studies, which have traditionally been part of the curriculum of SOAS. Records included in the database cover almost 100 years of publications on the world of Islam.

Material cited in the Index Islamicus includes not only work written about the Middle East, but also about the other main Muslim areas of Asia and Africa, plus Muslim minorities elsewhere. Over 3,000 journals are monitored for inclusion in the database, together with conference proceedings, monographs, multi-authored works and book reviews. Journals and books are indexed down to the article and chapter level.

Index of Christian Art
Description: The Index of Christian Art records works of art produced without geographical limitations from early apostolic times up to A.D. 1550. Significant holdings from Coptic Egypt, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Syria, Armenia, and the Near East. Seventeen different media are represented in the archive, and these include manuscripts, metalwork, sculpture, painting, and glass.

The Subject File is broken down into five broad categories.

  • Figures
  • Historical, literary, legendary, and mythological, including such themes as bishops, falconers, dancers, personifications, and saints
  • Scenes
    Ecclesiastical, historical, liturgical, secular, sports and games, and occupational
  • Nature
    Includes animals, rivers, vegetation, etc.
  • Objects
    Includes the entire range of secular and sacred objects. Examples include musical instruments, utensils, furniture, vestments, etc.
  • Miscellany
    Includes symbols or conventional motifs like the Hand of God, signs of the zodiac, monograms, etc



  • Index to 19th Century American Art Periodicals
    Description: Indexes 42 art journals published in the US during the 19th century, providing nearly complete coverage of journals from this period.


    Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals (FLP)
    Description: Contains citations from legal journals and other publications covering international law other than the US, British Isles and British Commonwealth from 1985- date.


    Index to Legal Periodicals & Books Full Text & Index to Legal Periodicals Retrospective
    Description: Covers the most important English language legal information, with international coverage and access to scholarly articles, symposia, jurisdictional surveys, court decisions, legislation, books, book reviews, and more. Coverage dates: Indexing 1908+, Abstracting 1990+, select Full Text 1995+

    Description: Index to journal and other literature on microbiological applications in the agricultural, food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical industries from 1981 to the present.

    This database provides access to the full-text of articles from 50 journals in Spanish covering a wide range of topics, including business, health, politics, and popular culture. It may only be searched in Spanish.

    Inspec (Engineering Village)
    Description: Includes Physics Abstracts, Computer and Control Abstracts, and Electrical and Electronics Abstracts from 1969-


    INSPEC (FCLA)
    Description: Inspec includes bibliographic citations and indexed abstracts from publications in the fields of physics, electrical and electronic engineering, communications, computer science, control engineering, information technology, manufacturing and mechanical engineering, operations research, material science, oceanography, engineering mathematics, nuclear engineering, environmental science, geophysics, nanotechnology, biomedical technology and biophysics.


    IntelliConnect
    Description: Provides access to full-text CCH legal resources in the areas of health and human resources, internet tax, and business and finance. CCHIntelliConnect requires users to register with their FSU email address for access.


    Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)
    Description: Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research maintains and provides access to a vast archive of social science data for research and instruction since 1962.


    InterAm
    Description: A collection of laws, regulations, case law, and secondary source materials for countries in the Americas. This collection, primarily in original language (Spanish or Portuguese) but with increasing numbers of materials translated into English, is updated daily and arranged in over 25 topical areas related to trade and investment.


    International Bibliography of Art
    Description: The International Bibliography of Art (IBA) is the definitive resource for scholarly literature on western art, and is published exclusively by ProQuest. IBA is the successor to the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA), and includes the most recent index records that were created by the Getty Research Institute as part of BHA. These records were created in 2008-2009, and cover scholarship up to 2009, including retrospective records for material published in previous years. ProQuest will be building on this by adding 25,000 new records per year going forwards, ensuring unbroken coverage of indexed journals.

    International Index to Performing Arts Full Text
    Description: IIPA draws its current content from more than 130 international performing arts periodicals from 9 countries, and also indexes feature performing arts articles and obituaries appearing in The New York Times and The Washington Post. Indexing 1998 - present (plus 89,464 retrospective citations from 46 periodicals, dating back to 1864)

    Description: Explains the 3 branches of government and state taxes.


    IOPScience
    Description: Access to the full-text of 33 of the Institute of Physics' electronic journals including journals. In some cases the electronic access goes back to 1993.


    IPA Source
    Description: IPA Source is the web's largest library of International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcriptions and literal translations of opera arias and art song texts. Now with over 6629 texts including 1176 aria texts.


    iPOLL Databank (Roper Center)
    Description: IPOLL, from the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, is a full text database of 500,000 questions from national public opinion surveys since 1935 and updated daily. iPOLL includes survey results data from academic, commercial and media survey organizations such as Gallup, Harris Interactive, Pew Research Associates, ABC, CBS, Wall Street Journal and many more. Many data sets are available for download in ASCII or SPSS format.


    ITER bibliography
    Description: The Iter bibliography addresses many aspects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance--including archaeology, art, history, literature, music, philosophy, religion, and history of science--covering the years 400 - 1700. It provides citations for books, journal material published since 1842 (articles, reviews, review articles, bibliographies, catalogues, abstracts and discographies), and citations for essays in books published since 1993.
