Paul A.M. Dirac Collection
Paul A. M. Dirac Collection contains materials related principally to the periods in which Dirac was associated as student and then as professor with St. John's College of the University of Cambridge and Florida State University (1923-84). These include manuscripts of his books, articles, and lectures; manuscripts written by others; proofs for his and others' articles; notes and notebooks; sheaves of calculations; offprints of his and others' articles; incoming professional correspondence; and photographs, many of which were taken at professional conferences in the company of other prominent physicists. Included also are personal papers and family-related documents dating from the nineteenth century, as well as notebooks and various documents pertaining to his studies prior to entering the University of Cambridge . The collection also contains a small group of audio-recordings, award certificates and diplomas, realia, collection administration records, and aids to research. The materials in the Paul A. M. Dirac Collection were donated to the Florida State University by Professor Dirac and his wife, Mrs. Margit Dirac, from 1984 to 1997.
