UBORROW allows you to request materials directly from participating libraries within Florida’s state university system. This unmediated borrowing service increases your access to the collections of the other universities in Florida and delivers more quickly than standard Interlibrary Loan.
How does it work?
When searching the FSU catalog, click on the blue UBORROW link, the State University Libraries’ catalog, showing all the available items within the university system. If you want an item, click on the UBORROW icon again, provide your FSU library number, and select where you want to pick up your book. You will receive an email in a few days letting you know that your book is ready for you.
Who is eligible?
Current FSU students, faculty and staff who are in good standing with the FSU Libraries are eligible to place requests through UBORROW.
What are the loan periods?
You are given 60 days from the time the item arrives on campus. You will receive an email as soon as your book is received and ready for pickup.
Can I renew my loans?
You may request one renewal for materials borrowed through UBORROW. Please note, this is a request, so you will want to place your request several days before your item is due. After you place your request, you will receive an email notifying you of the new due date or that your request was denied.

What happens if my books are overdue
You will receive email notifications about your overdue UBORROW books just as you do for the books that you borrow from the FSU Libraries. You will also be fined by the FSU Libraries for all overdue, lost, and damaged UBORROW loans.
Where can I return my books?
You can return your UBORROW books at any of the libraries at FSU.
