Visitor Information
The University Libraries welcomes visitors and researchers. Any person may visit the libraries and use materials, databases, and resources on-site. The computers in the libraries are used primarily for the research needs of the FSU faculty, students, and staff; therefore, FSU does not provide computers for internet browsing to the public.

Friends of the FSU Libraries
Access to the Libraries
Visitors to the Strozier and Dirac Science Libraries are required to present a government issued photo ID. See Guide to Access.
Borrowing Privileges
Alumni and visitors who wish to apply for borrowing privileges may join The Friends of the FSU Libraries . College of Law alumni can obtain borrowing privileges directly at the Law Library. Visiting scholars sponsored by an FSU department may apply for a Special Borrowing Permit . Further questions may be directed to Collections Access at 850-645-8925.
Licensed Databases
Visitors may access all databases and electronic resources within any FSU library. Due to licensing restrictions, these databases are not accessible by non-FSU users outside of the libraries.
Internet and Wireless Access
Friends of the FSU Libraries, members of the Alumni Association, Special Borrowers, and the faculty and students of Florida’s colleges and universities are able to browse the internet on designated computers. Beyond our licensed research databases, other visitors do not have open internet access. Visitors do not have wireless internet access for their personal laptops.
Government Documents
Government documents are available for the free use of the general public. Most of the Libraries’ documents are located on the Ground Floor of Strozier Library. For more information on government documents see http://www.lib.fsu.edu/find/documents , or contact Marcia Gorin at 850-645-2708.
Research Consultations
Visitors who wish to schedule a one-on-one research consultation with a librarian should contact Jacque Druash at 850-645-2164.
