Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is eligible for this service?
    FSU faculty are eligible for the Faculty Express Delivery Service.  Registration is required to use the service.
  2. What types of materials can be delivered?
    Circulating materials from all FSU libraries on the main campus, including books, media, book chapters, journal articles, and some may be delivered.  Non-circulating materials, rare, and fragile items cannot be delivered to other locations.
  3. Where will materials be delivered?
    Books and media will be delivered to designated locations in departments on the main campus.  Journal articles and book chapters will be sent electronically by e-mail.
  4. How long does it take to get an item?
    Deliveries should be made within 2 business days.
  5. Will materials be picked up and returned to the library?
    Books and media will be picked up from designated department locations upon request.
  6. What happens if a book that’s requested is checked out or missing?
    The person requesting the book will be notified that it is presently unavailable. If the book is checked out, a recall/hold request will be placed.  If the book is missing, a search will be initiated.  In the case of items that cannot be located, an Interlibrary Loan request will be submitted.
