What is this about?

The goal of this exhibit is to increase public knowledge of the place of art in the world of books. From children’s books to graphic novels, art plays an important role in conveying ideas, history and culture. This exhibit highlights some key books which have been influential in using art as a tool for communication and learning. People, young and old, can uncover a world of understanding while reading these texts with their brilliant images. In today’s world of constant technological advancement, the book as a physical object is sometimes less valued. Based on our work for this exhibition, we believe there will always be a need and an audience for wonderful books which can educate, entertain and amaze us through their use of art.
