Printing Services

Where can I print?

Printers are provided on the ground, second and third floors of Strozier Library. These machines are connected to the computers of the respective floors. Printing requires the use of Smart Chip enabled FSU cards (what is this?) with a positive balance.

How do I print?

FSU Students and Staff

  1. Print document selecting the default printer (Strozier Print System)
  2. Enter your Blackboard login at the prompt (FSUID)
  3. Go to any Print Release Station
  4. Enter your Blackboard login at the release station Prompt
  5. Insert your FSUCard in the card reader next to station
  6. Select documents(s) to print from the list displayed
  7. Bottom of the screen displays card balance & cost of printing (8 cents per page)
  8. Select print
  9. Log out to retrieve your FSUCard from card reader
  10. Take your printed documents from printer
  11. Jobs in your queue will be purged from the system after 2 hours

Visitors and Guests

You may request a guest ID from the library service desk

  1. Get a Visitor card from a dispenser
    • cost $5.00 includes $1.00 value on card, add more money at a cash to chip machine
  2. Get a Guest ID card from the library service desk
  3. Print document selecting the default printer (Strozier Print System)
  4. Enter your Guest ID at the prompt (FSUID)
    • example: Guest01
  5. Go to any Print Release Station
  6. Enter your Guest Name & password at release station Prompt
  7. Insert your Visitor card in the card reader next to station
  8. Select the documents(s) to print from the list displayed
  9. Bottom of the screen displays card balance & cost of printing (8 cents per page)
  10. Select print
  11. Log out to retrieve your Visitor card from card reader
  12. Take your printed documents from printer
  13. Jobs in your queue will be purged from the system after 2 hours
  14. Return Guest ID card to library service desk

Current Price per page: 8 cents.

Reporting Problems

If the card reader or printer fails to print, or takes your credits without printing, please call the FSUCard services department: 644-4843 (You can also report the problem to staff at the reference or circulation desks). The printers and card readers are not owned or operated by FSU Libraries.
