Giving to FSU Libraries

Nearly every Florida State University student utilizes the state-of-the-art, expert services of the Florida State University Libraries. With your support, we can continue to expand our world-class offerings, purchase additional books and journals and make more technological resources available to everyone in the FSU community.

Your gift strengthens the vital center of scholarly life at the University.

"Nobody graduates from a library, but nobody graduates without one." - Anonymous

University Libraries impact every University constituent, whether undergraduate or graduate student, faculty or visiting scholar. We support and enhance intellectual discovery.

Giving Opportunities

The Heritage Museum
The Heritage Museum, located in the Werkmeister Room of Dodd Hall, is the public face for FSU’s rich history. It is where students, alumni, families, and community members can go to be immersed in FSU’s story. Additional funding will allow the Museum to be open more often, offer longer hours, more exhibits, update exhibits, install a professional sound system, lighting, and safe display of valuable objects. A gift to the Heritage Museum Fund is a gift to preserve and protect FSU's history.

Supporting Scholarship in Special Collections
FSU Special Collections is home to world-class collections including the papers of Nobel Laureate Paul Dirac, John M. Shaw Childhood in Poetry Collection, and the Napoleon and the French Revolution Collection. Endowed funds support visiting scholars and digitization projects.

Undergraduates Rule in “The Learning District”
The Learning District in Strozier library offers tutoring with a focus on challenging classes, especially in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines. Tutoring is offered late at night when student demand is greatest.

Technology All Around
FSU Libraries need private funding to ensure they stay at the forefront of technology to enhance learning and make FSU a leader in scholarship and student success.

Digital Journals at your Fingertips
FSU Libraries pay more than $5 million each year to provide current digital journals and online materials accessible anywhere and anytime.

Library Staff Excellence Initiative
This initiative will provide funds for training and professional development as well as reward exceptional performance among Libraries’ staff.

Graduate and Faculty Enhancement
Endowed funds support Graduate Assistants in the University Libraries giving them exceptional preparation for their careers.

FSU Libraries Textbook Fund
The FSU Libraries Textbook fund aims to alleviate the costs of course materials for students who demonstrate financial need. Learn More.
