What is Credo Reference?


Are you working on a research project, but having trouble with coming up with a specific topic or keywords you can use to look for research sources?  If so, Credo Reference is a database that can help you get a better idea of a certain subject and what sources are out there on similar subjects. It will also give a good idea of what keywords to use when starting to search for more sources.

On February 28, 2018 members of the Dean of Libraries Search Committee, Search Committee Chair Sam Huckaba, and Mr. Alberto Pimentel of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates will host a series of meetings with key Libraries stakeholders to discuss the Dean search and gather information. This is an opportunity for various campus and community constituents to share their thoughts and comments regarding the qualities and characteristics sought in the new Dean.

Did you know that the librarians at FSU have created a wide range of subject and course guides to help you locate and understand subject specific resources? There are many different subjects covered by our research guides, from individual topics to class guides and even overviews of broad subjects. Currently, we have about 470 research guides in 70 different subject areas.

#LoveMyFDL Month: Government Documents at FSU Libraries

Love My FDL

February has been designated by The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) as Love My Federal Depository Library month. The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) was created by Congress to ensure access to published government information by all Americans. In 1941, FSU Libraries was designated as a Federal Depository Library, allowing the Libraries to provide free equitable access to U.S. government publications to the FSU and Tallahassee Community for free.

Florida State University Libraries will host a series of events Feb. 15-16 to educate the campus community about digital academic publishing.

The events will feature Cheryl E. Ball, director of the digital publishing collective at Wayne State University and an expert on scholarly communication, digital publishing infrastructure, open access and more.

The schedule of events is:

Florida State University Libraries, Florida International University and University of Miami launch the Sunshine State Digital Network.

Florida State University Libraries and their partners are pleased to announce the launch of the Sunshine State Digital Network (SSDN). The SSDN is part of the Digital Public Library of America and FSU is proud to be the service hub for the state of Florida. The service hub represents a community of institutions in the state which will provide their partner institutions aggregated metadata for the DPLA and offer tiered services to connect institutions of all sizes to DPLA.
