Hurricane Hermine brought high winds and flooding rain to Tallahassee and the Florida State University campus last week and left many FSU students, faculty, and staff without power during the Labor Day weekend. FSU Libraries quickly sprang into action and reopened Strozier Library on Sunday, once power was restored, as a respite for the FSU community to cool down and find some peace in the wake of the storm.
Florida State University and FSU Libraries will honor former university President Robert Manning Strozier (1906–1960) by dedicating a statue on the steps of Strozier Library, the main campus library that bears his name.
