FSU Libraries have expanded the traditional content of library literacy sessions by incorporating critical thinking, evaluating resources, and research skills support through asynnchronous learning resources.
Libraries in Canvas
We've gone beyond the physical library to seamlessly integrate our services and resources right into the Canvas dashboard and your course site. Use the Library Tools link in your course site and the FSU Libraries course to search for materials, find research support, and access our library services. Integrate our library modules, videos, and tutorials into your Canvas course from the Canvas Commons. Find out more about our Libraries’ integrations in Canvas on this guide.
The Libraries boasts a large number of research guides on all manner of research-related topics. Research guides typically provide overviews of topics, collect and organize pertinent resources, and provide procedural information for how to conduct research in certain disciplines. Library staff are also available to create research guides tailored to the content and assignments of specific courses. If you’d like to explore the possibility of building a custom research guide for your course, please reach out to your subject librarian.
Other Learning Objects
We’ve created a comprehensive suite of videos & tutorials that course instructors are welcome to incorporate in their classes. We are also available to create custom video tutorials, eLearning modules, and other digital learning objects. To pursue creating course-customized digital learning objects, please reach out to your subject librarian so they can collaborate with the Instruction and Distance Learning teams to explore design options.
Asynchronous Learning Tools & Support
FSU Libraries provides support and guidance for asynchronous instruction tools. Find out more about tools that can be used to conduct class activities online on this Tools for Asynchronous Learning Guide.
