DigiNole is the shared platform of our Digital Library and the institution's Research Repository. The Digital Library hosts a variety of cultural heritage content, and the Research Repository hosts a growing number of creative and scholarly works produced by the Florida State community.
The repository platform we use is Islandora, an open-source software with an active development community. DigiNole is hosted by Florida Learning Virtual Campus (FLVC) through a consortial agreement with 40 other state institutions; however, the bulk of day-to-day work that goes into content management/recruitment, metadata creation/mediation, outreach, and development is managed by stalwart librarians/archivists in the Office of Digital Research & Scholarship and the department of Special Collections & Archives.
