Instruction and Training
The Office of Digital Research and Scholarship offers support in instruction and training through syllabus and assignment development, teaching digital tools in the classroom, and creating open educational resources. Instructors can request demonstrations, workshops, and instruction sessions through our instruction request form.
“Digital Pedagogy is precisely not about using digital technologies for teaching and, rather, about approaching those tools from a critical pedagogical perspective. So, it is as much about using digital tools thoughtfully as it is about deciding when not to use digital tools, and about paying attention to the impact of digital tools on learning.”
from the Digital Pedagogy Lab
We offer workshops on how to incorporate technology into the classroom. We also offer workshops on nontraditional outcomes for class assignments, such as blog posts (and other public writing) or digital projects.
We also strive to make all of our teaching materials open to the public through the creation and distribution of Open Educational Resources. If you wish to partner with us to make your syllabi, assignments or learning materials openly available, please contact us.
