Text Analysis with R

In this session, we will go over the basics of using R for text analysis. We will explore the RStudio environment, learn how R loads texts, and do some basic preprocessing on documents so they are easier to work with. This session will cover the building blocks of text analysis, including analyzing word frequencies, variations in vocabulary, and how textual features cluster within the text.

Please bring a laptop to this session, and have R and RStudio installed, following the instructions in this LibGuide: https://guides.lib.fsu.edu/text-analysis/r/installation. If you have problems with installation, or if you do not have access to a laptop, please contact Sarah Stanley prior to the session.
