The mission of the Warren D. Allen Music Library is to support the learning and research needs of the College of Music and the University, through the provision of materials, access, and services related to scholarly research and performance of music. As a member of the university community, the Warren D. Allen Music Library supports the learning, research, performance, and recreational needs and interests of the University's community of learning.

Business Administration oversees the fiscal management of the Libraries as directed by the Dean. This includes everything from planning the budget to closing out expenditures at the end of each fiscal year.
The Cataloging & Description department is located in the Madison Street Annex. The Cataloging & Description department is responsible for the inclusion and maintenance of records in the library's catalog that provide information about resources available to library users.
The Circulation department handles the lending and retrieval of library materials. These materials include reserve items, textbooks, journals, and books. They can assist you with renewing items, and borrowing.
The Claude Pepper Library was established in 1985 as the official repository for the Claude Pepper Papers, a unique and multi-faceted collection of manuscripts, photographs, audio/video recordings, and memorabilia by and about U.S. Congressman Claude Pepper (1900-1989).
Our Collection Development department (Serials & Acquisitions Services) acquire and classify monograph and serial titles in all languages and formats. The University Libraries is committed to making its collections accessible to students, faculty and staff of The Florida State University as well as the broader scholarly community.

- The FSU-Panama Branch Library is the most comprehensive English language academic library in the Republic of Panama. It primarily serves students and faculty engaged in undergraduate teaching and learning.
The Research and Information Services formerly known as Learning Commons is located on the first floor of Strozier Library. Serving primarily undergraduate students, the Research and Information Services provides a variety of resources and spaces designed to support student academic success and promote social connections.
The Scholars Commons, located on the lower level of Strozier Library, offers resources to facilitate study and research by faculty and graduate students.

Library Security staff are responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of all individuals, their belongings and University property. Security Staff are located at the entrance/exit area of the Strozier and Dirac Libraries. In addition, Security staff routinely patrol the building. Feel free to ask for assistance at any time. The Special Collections & Archives Division of the Florida State University Libraries advances research by acquiring, providing access and preserving original primary source materials.
The Library Systems Department supports information technology used throughout the University Libraries, both by library staff and library patrons.
