Strozier Library Flooding Information

Monday, March 20, 2017
Strozier Library

Last Friday, Strozier Library experienced extensive flooding on several floors including large sections of the 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and portions of the library annex. These areas are closed as facilities crews are currently working to dry out the affected areas and prevent any further damage.

We hope to have these sections open soon. If you need to request materials from a closed area please speak with a library staff member at the circulation desk on the first floor and they can retrieve the item for you.

Check back here for updates.

Update - 3-20-17: After assessing the flooding further, library staff have discovered a very small amount of books got wet as a result of the flooding and only roughly 50-60 books are damaged enough to be withdrawn from the collection. If the damaged books were used extensively, they we will be replaced as soon as possible.
