FSU Libraries offers a professional librarian liaison to each department, school, and program who provides tailored instruction and research assistance for students and faculty. Each liaison can work collaboratively with teaching faculty, serve as a department's first point of contact for information about library resources and services, and also select materials to support students and their current course curricula.

Renaine is the Associate Director of STEM Libraries as well as the STEM Data and Research Librarian. In this role, he works with researchers to help find, use, evaluate, and manage research data. Renaine also serves as the subject librarian for the FSU/FAMU College of Engineering as well as Computer Science, Scientific Computing, Psychology, and Food & Nutrition Science departments. He holds a MLIS, a MS in Urban and Regional Planning as well as a BS in Political Science, all from Florida State University. Renaine's interests include: research data management, scholarly communication, and citizen science. Renaine is an active member of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIST), the Florida Library Association (FLA) and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).
