A number of services are available to FSU faculty who are visiting or conducting research away from campus.
If you can’t locate an item on the shelf and would like Library staff to search for the material please use the Claimed Returned / Book Search form.
The Library offers media equipment for borrowing such as cameras, laptops, video game consoles, projectors, etc.
If you have returned an item to the Libraries but it is still showing on your account.
FSU faculty and Graduate Teaching Assistants can request for items to be placed on course reserves using our online form. Any items that need to be on reserve for the first week of the semester should be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Reserves requests submitted once the semester has begun will be processed within 5 business days.
Reserve items may be checked out at a library service desk for short-term use in the library.
Faculty may allow graduate students to check out materials under a FSU faculty member's name.
Scholars Commons in Strozier Library "Grad Box" is available on a first-come, first served walk-in basis. It can be charged out at the Scholars Commons Office.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service where a student, faculty, or staff of Florida State University may obtain books or obtain photocopies of articles from other institutions.
Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be reserved or held for individual or group use. Laptops may be borrowed for a 4 hour loan period.
Delivery service of teaching materials to faculty and teaching assistants.
Multimedia Services are offered at the Strozier Library Main floor - near the Exit and Circulation Desk.
All patrons are responsible for returning library materials on or before the date the material is due. Due dates can be found online by logging into your library account. If there are charges for overdue materials, they may be paid at the Office of Student Financial Services or at the FSUCard Center. FSU faculty, students, and staff may pay library charges online.
Strozier and Dirac Libraries currently provide a number of Research Workstations for the public. These computers are spread throughout the libraries, and provided on every floor. Please see the service desk for locations.
Request an item be pulled from the subbasement or remote storage for use. (There is a link in the catalog for items in remote storage that fills out a form with the material information).
Log in to your personal account where materials may be renewed on-line. Items may be renewed three times. Some restrictions may apply.
Study spaces are available to individual and groups of students. Please use the room booking form to reserve your study room.
