Advising First has an academic advisor located in Strozier Library during non-traditional hours in order to serve the advising needs of any Florida State students, especially those students who may be experiencing difficulty getting in to see their assigned advisor during standard office hours. Students can stop by for quick-stop needs, such as questions about courses, schedules, university policies, majors, and a variety of other topics.
FSU Libraries has two Lulzbot TAZ 6 Printers at the Dirac Science Library. Any FSU students, faculty, or staff interested in creating an object can submit a 3D digital model for printing. The service is currently being offered at no charge to give the FSU community an opportunity to experience and innovate with this emerging technology.
Ask a Librarian provides FSU students, faculty, and staff with virtual reference services through live chat and text messaging whenever the library is open.

FSU faculty and Graduate Teaching Assistants can request for items to be placed on course reserves using our online form. Any items that need to be on reserve for the first week of the semester should be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Reserves requests submitted once the semester has begun will be processed within 5 business days.
Library Liaisons are now referred to as subject librarians. They order materials, perform consultations, and work with graduate students and faculty of FSU.
Multimedia Services are offered at the Strozier Library Main floor - near the Exit and Circulation Desk.
Access to our resources off-campus requires logging into a proxy server. Logging in allows databases to recognize you as a member of FSU and to download and browse articles as needed.
DRS provides support, infrastructure, and consulting for technology-focused research projects in the areas of:
1) data management and curation
2) digital humanities
3) academic publishing and scholarship dissemination
4) journal development and hosting
5) maximizing research impact
Strozier and Dirac Libraries currently provide a number of Research Workstations for the public. These computers are spread throughout the libraries, and provided on every floor. Please see the service desk for locations.
Request an item be pulled from the subbasement or remote storage for use. (There is a link in the catalog for items in remote storage that fills out a form with the material information).
The Statistical Consulting Center, a program of the FSU Department of Statistics, offers services to students and faculty in all disciplines.
Florida State University offers a variety of tutoring and other academic services.
A satellite for the Reading/Writing Center (RWC) is available at Strozier on the main floor, next to the reference desk. The RWC offers individualized instruction in composition and reading through one-to-one tutoring and small group workshops. Students may make appointments or walk-in for assistance.
