This program was originally released in 1987 by Forethought, Inc. and was at first exclusively available for Macintosh computers. Three months after its release, Microsoft acquired the rights for approximately $14 million. PowerPoint has become a core part of the Office suite and is a globally recognized presentation program.
All active students enrolled in classes are eligible for free downloads of Office 365 ProPlus—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more—on up to fifteen personally-owned devices: five computers, five tablets and five phones.
