The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is a university learning center, focused on helping students develop the study skills and success habits that are necessary in a large research university and valued by future employers. Their program is located on the ground floor of the William Johnston Building.
ACE offers the following services: Learning Studio Appointments and Group Tutoring sessions in multiple subject areas, Drop In Math Tutoring, Study Skills Tutoring, Personal Academic Consultations (PAC), and more.

The Florida State University Reading-Writing Center and Digital Studio offers writing and digital literacy support to all FSU students, undergraduate and graduate, across all disciplines. The RWC offers individualized instruction in composition and reading through one-to-one tutoring and small group workshops, helping students develop their writing in many areas. Students may make appointments or walk-in for assistance, and locations include the Williams Building, Strozier Library, and the William Johnston Building.
The CARE Tutoring & Computer Lab provides encouragement and support that will enhance each students' academic success. The Lab provides academic support in small groups and individualized sessions. The staff are prepared to assist students in developing effective study skills, review materials to explore learning styles, develop self confidence in course work and reduce feelings of fear and failure. Biology Help Rooms
Biology Teaching Assistants are available to assist students enrolled in BSC 1005. The Center is located in Milton Carothers Hall (MCH), room 425. Hours TBA.
The Biology Major Study Center in the King Building (KIN1054) is staffed by undergraduate tutors for BSC 2010 and BSC 2011. Free tutoring is provided for any student enrolled in either of these two courses, Monday – Friday 9am to 4:30pm, with the current term's weekly schedule posted on the door.
Chemistry Help Room
Chemistry Teaching Assistants are available to assist students enrolled in CHM 1045/6 & CHM 2210/11. The Center is located in the Chemistry Help Room (DLC 321C).
Economics Help Room
The Economics Help Desk, located in Bellamy 205, offers free walk-in tutoring in the following courses:
- ECO2000: Introduction to Economic Thinking
- ECO2013: Principles of Macroeconomics
- ECO2023: Principles of Microeconomics
All tutoring takes place in the Center for Academic Excellence & Innovation in HAC B101-102, located on the ground floor of the Holley Building OR through the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) in Tallahassee via online skype sessions.
