UBorrow allows you to request materials directly from participating libraries within Florida’s state university and college systems. This unmediated borrowing service increases your access to the collections of the other universities and colleges in Florida and delivers more quickly than standard Interlibrary Loan.
How does it work?
While searching the FSU Catalog, click on the blue UBORROW icon at the top right of the search result window. This will take you to the Union Catalog. Request books by clicking on the UBORROW icon, enter your library number and password, and select where you want to pick up your book. You will receive an email in a few days letting you know that your book is ready for you.
Who is eligible?
Current FSU students, faculty and staff who are in good standing with the FSU Libraries are eligible to place requests through UBORROW. Retired FSU faculty members are eligible as well.
What are the loan periods?
You are given 45 days from the time the item arrives on campus. You will receive an email as soon as your book is received and ready for pickup. You may request one 30 day renewal for materials borrowed through UBORROW.

What happens if my books are overdue?
You will receive email notifications about your overdue UBORROW books just as you do for the books that you borrow from the FSU Libraries. You will also be fined by the FSU Libraries for all overdue, lost, and damaged UBORROW loans. The replacement cost for UBORROW items is $100. If you have questions please contact Uborrow at email@example.com or call (850) 644-5959. Questions about library fines can be directed to (850) 645-8823.
Where can I return my books?
You can return your UBORROW books at any of the libraries at FSU, or to any library in Florida within the State University System or the Florida College System.
